Are you a talented Product Specialist with a strong eye for detail and a passion for rail travel? Are you ready to take on a new challenge in the world of European rail passes? Join us on our exciting journey as we spark the curiosity of travellers from all over the world to discover every corner of Europe by train. As our Product Specialist you will contribute to a positive customer experience and the success of Eurail by managing and maintaining the core Pass product information in close co-operation with internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

As our Product Specialist you will lead and drive the accessibility and completeness of our Pass’ product specifics including information on product details and the Pass’ usability in each of the 33 participating countries. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll work with stakeholders across the organisation like Customer Service, product teams, and Content, as well as external railway and ferry representatives. As the go-to expert for Pass product information, your main activities will include:

  • Own, maintain and refine the Pass validity details and liaise directly with our members carriers and partners on a day-to -day basis, to obtain correct and up to date information.
  • Own, maintain and refine Interrail/Eurail Pass product information specifics like product portfolio details and product conditions.
  • Maintain and keep up to date all product details within CMS systems.
  • Handle and respond to product related questions from internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Customer Service team, Community Manager, and member railway carriers).
  • Communicate and collaborate with various internal stakeholders to make sure the product information is clear and consistent for customers throughout the different channels (e.g. Website and App).
  • Support the content management and customer service team by providing expertise to ensure the correct information about the product is provided to customers and distributors.
  • Co-ordinate development and distribution of regular Product Newsletters.
  • Support collaboration and build strong relationships with external operational contacts from railway and ferry carriers across the various European countries.
  • Contribute to innovations in the management of product information to support the goal of having ‘single source of truth’ for all stakeholders.

What we’re looking for in you

In terms of your experience and strengths, we’re looking for; 

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in communication, business administration, or similar.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ work experience. Experience within the Travel, Tourism, or Transportation industry is a plus.
  • You are proactive and responsive, and confident dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical, with an eye for detail. You take a structured and organised approach while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to identify and navigate roadblocks and risks, regardless of direct responsibilities.
  • Can easily communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand way
  • A natural at building strong working relationships with people from different nationalities and functions in and outside the organisation.
  • Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written. Additional languages are a plus.
